Maadiran Launches First Solar Power Plant
Maadiran Group, a pioneer in Iran’s electronics and home appliances industry, inaugurated its first solar power plant at its home appliance factory located in the Payam Special Economic Zone. The opening ceremony was attended by Mohammad Bagher Aghaalikhani, Secretary of the Production Facilitation Task Force, and Ali Karami, CEO of Maadiran Group.
This solar power plant marks an important step in Maadiran’s entry into the clean energy sector. In his speech at the event, Ali Karami emphasized the country’s current energy imbalance and the projected increase in the energy gap to 25,000 megawatts by next year. He described investment in this field as essential and unavoidable. Karami noted that the power plant will not only help supply part of the factory’s energy needs but also reflects Maadiran’s commitment to social responsibility and environmental preservation.
Mr. Aghaalikhani also praised Maadiran Group’s initiative and stressed the importance of private sector investment in the renewable energy industry. He reaffirmed the government’s support for such projects and expressed hope that Maadiran’s action would serve as a model for other industrial companies across the country.
